The Edgartown Whaling Church Mural Restoration is a short documentary film produced by Martha's Vineyard Productions that chronicles the history of the Edgartown Whaling Church, the events that lead up to the discovery of a photograph from the 1870's that depicts an image of a long lost mural inside the church, and the restoration process of recreating the lost mural for the public's benefit.

Status-
The documentary was completed Dec. 21st, 2013. We intend to submit the documentary to film festivals around the nation. At the same time, we are seeking funds to complete a longer format documentary that will also profile the two "sister" churches of the Edgartown Whaling Church (the church on Nantucket and in Provincetown) that were built by whaling captains around the same time, by the same architect/muralist team.
